Assistant Professor in the scientific field of Cartography and Cartographic Heritage and member of the Laboratory of Cartography & Geographic Analysis (CartoGeoLab), School of Rural and Surveying Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is a Rural and Surveying Engineer, AUTH and Doctor of Engineering in Digital Cartography. She has worked as post-doctoral researcher and scientific associate at the Institute of Cartography and Geoinformation, ETH Zurich (2012-2017) and at the Laboratory of Cartography and Geographic Analysis, AUTH (2017-2022) and she has earned scholarships (State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), Staatssekretariat für Bildung, Forschung und Innovation SBFI, Schweizerische Eidgenossenschaft), awards and other distinctions for her research. She has participated in research projects of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, ETH Zurich and European Parliament.
She is Vice-Chair of the ICA Commission on Cartographic Heritage into the Digital (2019-2023 and 2023-2027), Treasurer of the Hellenic Cartographic Society (HCS) (2023-2027) and member of the Swiss Cartographic Society (Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Kartografie). She is also Executive Editor (8/2019-) of the e-Perimetron journal, ISSN 1790-3769.
She has more than 80 publications in international scientific journals and proceedings of international and national conferences. She is a reviewer in international scientific journals and coordinator of the Organizing Committee of the International Conferences of the Commission on Cartographic Heritage into the Digital (ICA- Commission on Cartographic Heritage into the Digital) and of the National Cartographic Conferences of the Hellenic Cartographic Society, for which she is also responsible for the publication of their proceedings.
