Born in 1968 in Xanthi. He studied at the Department of Rural & Surveying Engineers at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and received his diploma in 1992. In 2008 he completed his doctoral thesis entitled “Creation and implementation of a metadata standard for the documentation of the digital spatial data of the Hellenic Cadastre”. Since 1992 he has been collaborating with the Department of Cadastre, Photogrammetry and Cartography of TATM – AUTH on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and participates in research projects on GIS. From 1994 to 2010 he collaborated with technical companies in the city of Thessaloniki with the subject of GIS, development of applications in a GIS software environment and organization and management of digital data of the studies of the Hellenic Cadastre in GIS. From 2004 to 2012 he taught courses related to Geoinformatics and GIS at the Geoinformatics and Topography Department of TEI Serres. Since 2014 he has been employed as Laboratory Teaching Staff (EDIP) at TATM-AUTH in the following courses: Geoinformatics I, Geoinformatics II, Computer Design, Databases and GIS, Urban Planning and Urban Analysis, Automated Cartography, Geographic Information Systems, Field Exercises.
