Graduation from School of Rural and Surveying Engineering of AUTH in 1995. Dr.-Ing. from Technical University of Munich in 1999. Teaching at Technical University of Berlin (2001-2004). Election at AUTH as Assistant Professor (2004), Full Professor since 2013. Director of Department of Geodesy and Surveying (2011-2013) and Head of  School of Rural and Surveying Engineering (2013-2017, 2020-2022). DAAD graduate scholarship (1997-1999), Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship (research stays since 2008 at the Universities of Stuttgart, Berlin and Munich), Dimitrios Lambadarios Prize from the Academy of Athens for research work in Geodesy (2012). Editorial Board Member of Geophysical Prospecting (European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers -EAGE) and Journal of Geodetic Science (De Gruyter). Since 1999 chair and member in different committees and Special Study Groups of the International Association of Geodesy (IAG). Principal Investigator and Research Team Member of national and international research projects (General Secretariat for Research and Innovation, European Space Agency, ELIDEK). Research interests include the exploitation of contemporary satellite data and the investigation of potential theory methodologies for gravity field modeling and interpretation. Author of books Introduction to Surveying, Satellite Geodesy, Applications of Potential Theory, Reference Systems and Time. IAG Fellow (2019) and Corresponding Member of the German Geodetic Commission (Deutsche Geodätische Kommission – DGK) of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences (2019, https://www.auth.gr/press/26525/).
