I was born in Thessaloniki. I graduated from the 2nd High School and I studied Rural & Surveying Engineering in AUTh (1999). Master of Science in Environmental Pollution Control Management, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland, 2000 and PhD in Environmental Impact Assessment – AUTh, 2004. I joined the School of Rural & Surveying Engineering in AUTh as a Lecturer in 2008 and currently, I am Assistant Professor. I have participated in several Research Projects related to sustainable management of organic wastes and biological sludge, anaerobic digestion of cattle wastewater and environmental impact assessment. I have professional experience in hydraulic and EIA and SEA projects, as well as planning projects at several levels, since November 2000. I have participated in a plethora of international scientific conferences and organized one, while I am a member of several scientific and professional groups. I served as Director of the Department of Transportation and Hydraulic Engineering during the academic years of 2017-2018 and 2018-2019. I have been ECTS Coordinator and responsible for Erasmus+ EU exchange programs at the school level, since the academic year 2015-2016. I have supervised a PHD, 46 postgraduate theses and 99 undergraduate theses.
