Professor of the Department of Geodesy and Topography of TATM-AUTH since 2011 and head of the Topography Laboratory (LabTop). His main scientific interests are related to the processing and analysis of photogrammetric images (terrestrial, aerial and satellite) and data from terrestrial and portable (SLAM) Laser scanners, Geoinformatics, Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) and 3D printing. From 2003 to 2011, he served as an assistant professor at the Democritus University of Thrace, specifically at the Department of Architectural Engineering, while he has worked as a laboratory and scientific lecturer (under contract) at the Alexandrian TEI of Thessaloniki (1999-2003) at the Department of Informatics.
Visiting professor since 2005, at the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania and most specifically teaching the course “Basic Geodesy and Digital Photogrammetry” in the Master’s Program “Geoinformation in Environmental Management”. Author of more than 90 publications with more than 1100 citations. Member of the Greek Association of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. Reviewer in international scientific journals, such as, Journal of Cultural Heritage, MDPI, etc.
